Democratising Legal Access in Syria

Requests can be submitted at any time in Arabic or English. Submission does not mean a lawyer is available continuously or that advice is immediate. Response timing depends on the matter, urgency, completeness of information and service availability; we confirm the expected delivery time when agreeing the work.
The online service covers review of facts and documents, legal analysis and practical next steps. Court filing, representation, notarisation and other work requiring local authority are separately agreed with the appropriately authorised professional; they are not included automatically in an online consultation.

Founder
Lawyer and Legal Counsel Omar Al-Baghdadi founded CounselO and directs its legal work. His professional practice began in 1996 and includes commercial disputes, contracts, arbitration and cross-border legal analysis.
Omar graduated from the Faculty of Law at Damascus University in 1996. His family’s legal practice includes Al-Baghdadi Law Firm, founded by his father, Lawyer Riyad Al-Baghdadi, in 1957. CounselO is a distinct online consultation platform.
CounselO reports a career-wide regional total of 20,000+ legal matters and consultations handled or supervised during Omar’s professional practice, including advice, document reviews and related engagements. This stated experience figure is not independently audited and is not a count of court victories, matters in a single jurisdiction or work performed solely through CounselO. Al-Baghdadi Law Firm (BaghdadiLaw) was founded in 1957 by Lawyer Riyad Al-Baghdadi, Omar’s father. Omar graduated from Damascus University’s Faculty of Law in 1996 and founded CounselO as a distinct online consultation platform. The firm and platform share a professional and historical connection through Omar; their identities and engagements remain separate.
