Civil claims and damages

Possession and interference dispute in Syria

Record the last undisputed state of possession and the specific obstruction, entry or removal that followed. Preserve dated evidence of access and occupation. Urgency and the appropriate claim depend on the actual interference; avoid trying to resolve contested possession by force.

State the jurisdiction, any urgent date and the outcome you need. Scope and fee are confirmed before paid work begins.

Is ordinary possession review enough for property taken during the Syrian revolution?

A specific October 2025 designation assigns revolution-related seizure or ownership-manipulation disputes to designated second civil first-instance and appeal courts in justice centres, with a single-court exception. Check whether the facts fall within that designation and whether later arrangements apply; not every occupation dispute belongs in this special category. Record the last undisputed state of possession and the specific obstruction, entry or removal that followed. Preserve dated evidence of access and occupation. Urgency and the appropriate claim depend on the actual interference; avoid trying to resolve contested possession by force.

Legal context in Syria

Syria: Civil obligations and property rules interact with evidence and any special recovery procedure. Identify whether the requested relief is possession, ownership, restitution or compensation; a special court designation or recovery mechanism must be checked before using an ordinary civil route. What changed in access or possession and when did it happen?

This page explains preparation and the broader review framework. The listed sources are references for the practice area; they do not by themselves establish an entitlement, deadline or procedure for this particular issue.

Legal Opinion in a Real Estate Case

Analysis of a Complex Real Estate Case in Syria

This study concerns a complex real estate dispute in Syria in which an heir claims entitlement to the value of a property formerly owned by his father. Ownership was transferred to the grandmother, who later sold the property to a third party shortly before the father’s death. The case focused on suspected irregularities in the transfer of ownership, the absence of genuine consideration, and the fictitious price recorded in the sale contract. CounselO | كاونسلو helped reconstruct the case legally by reviewing contracts and real estate records, analyzing examination transcripts, arranging the chronology of events, and highlighting the discrepancy between the recorded price and the property’s actual value. As a result, the court moved toward commissioning a real estate expert valuation to determine the property’s actual value, marking an important shift in the proceedings. In summary, CounselO’s support transformed a general claim into an organized legal case grounded in evidence, chronology, admissions, and the fictitious recorded price.
